Lake Balzac
A haven of peace
Lake Balzac, a haven of peace, one hour from Montreal, is located in a protected area in the heart of the Quebec wilderness, surrounded by lakes and rivers.
Fifteen minutes from the picturesque village of Morin-Heights in the Laurentians, this natural reserve offers a peaceful retreat for nature lovers.
Each lot of Lake Balzac has a minimal surface area of five acres (218 000 sq. ft.) and at least 260 feet of lake frontage.
Lake Balzac is nestled in the Territory of the Lakes, a private reserve that maintains high standards regarding architectural design and landscaping of each residence, in order to preserve the pristine environment of the area.
Respect for the environment, the protection of wildlife and the preservation of natural resources and the natural resources are major priorities for the residents within “Territory of the Lakes” region. Throughout the Territory fuel motor boats and other motorized recreational vehicles are strictly prohibited.
In addition, in order to respect everyone’s peace and quiet, all land clearing as well as residential construction is limited to weekdays.
Activities
Over and above the usual summer water sports you can enjoy on Lake Balzac, golfers will be happy to find several golf courses within an hour of the Territory. Groomed bicycle trails, water parks, tennis courts, horseback riding centers and health spas are some of the recreational opportunities available within a short distance of the lake.
In the wintertime, you can snowshoe and cross-country ski on the Territory. Several Alpine ski centers, toboggan slides, skating rinks and dogsled excursions are all within a 20 minute drive.
There are numerous restaurants, boutiques and discothèques to satisfy any gourmet, shop-a-holic or partygoer, all within 15 minutes from Morin Heights and 20 minutes from St. Sauveur. The well known Station Touristique of Mont Tremblant is only one hour away from Lac Balzac.
